Mental Health Counselor-

This position can be a full-time or a part-time position.  Individual will work with both residential and outpatient clientele to perform mental health assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, facilitating individual therapy, facilitate group process therapy and psycho-education groups on mental health, family counseling, and assist in coordinating community referrals. Job duties will include:

  • Perform mental health assessments to diagnose and determine client treatment needs
  • Provide individual and group counseling implementing a variety of evidence based treatment modalities to assist clients in growth and progress towards mental health and substance use disorder treatment plan goals and objectives
  • Develop materials for facilitation of group therapy
  • Assess client progress towards the treatment plan objective and goals
  • Maintain records and documents on client treatment progress as required by Federal, state, insurance/payment provider and ShareHouse standards, regulations and policies
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings to consult with other professional staff to ensure appropriate treatment/ programming to clients
  • Refer clients to and consult with other support services as needed to ensure continued and appropriate treatment
  • Conduct administrative duties to include case management, progress notes and documentation, creation and review
  • Provide and maintain reliable and prompt attendance, with the ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity
  • Maintain contact and communicate with outside agencies as needed to ensure open communication and transfer of information
  • Attend administrative and other meetings as required to maintain and increase awareness of organizational goals and objectives; communicate information as necessary to staff
  • Provide leadership in the advocacy of ShareHouse and represent the organization at outside meetings in a positive manner to increase awareness of and generate interest in program
  • Serve on committees as assigned by Executive Director
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (Flexible schedule- work 2-5 days a week)

Experience:

  • substance abuse disorder and family therapy: 2 years

Education:

  • Master’s Degree (Required)

Licenses or certifications:

  • Can be a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC), or a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC)-

We are seeking a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) to facilitate groups and provide primary individual counseling in our residential and outpatient programs. Requires current LAC license in the state of North Dakota or be eligible to obtain LAC, and a four year degree in related area of study. Experience in chemical dependency and mental health treatment preferred, but not required. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Conduct assessments to determine client treatment needs
  • Provide individual and group counseling, using variety of therapeutic techniques, to facilitate and maintain sobriety and wellness, to assist in growth and progress toward completion of treatment plan goals and objectives
  • Develop materials for and facilitate client group meetings such as 12 step, relapse prevention, trauma, parenting, spirituality, etc., to assist in sobriety and wellness
  • Assess client progress to evaluate success of treatment
  • Maintains records and documents on clients and treatment progress as required by Federal, state, insurance/payment provider and ShareHouse standards, regulations and policies
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings to consult with other professional staff to ensure appropriate treatment, programming and client progress
  • Refer clients to and consult with other support services as needed to ensure continued and appropriate treatment
  • Conduct administrative duties to include progress notes and documentation, creation and review of treatment plans, completed in a timely manner according to program-specific policy and procedure, to adhere to applicable state, federal and agency regulations
  • Provide and maintain reliable and prompt attendance, with the ability to work the schedule dictated by business necessity, to include evenings, on-call rotation and weekends as needed
